Heifer Pairs

We have an Angus ranch locally that is having their Spring Bull sale this Feb. But they are also offering 100 1st calf commercial Heifer pairs.

Never heard of a sale offering their heifers as pairs instead of bred earlier in the fall.

Curios how something like this will go. Nice to buy the heifers after they already calved but wonder how much more a person will have to pay for the ranch taking them farther down the road past calving.

I guess I will never get used to some folks calling them heifers after they have had a calf. It seems totally radical to everything I have heard my entire life.

Then you see, "second calf heifers" in this forum. Until I read this forum, a cow that had never had a calf was a heifer. Once she calved, she was henceforth referred to as a cow. Everyone I know is of the same opinion. Must be a Texas thing.

Agreed. If you gonna get drug thru the mud, at least let em spray you off.

the prices could be sky high.since we have gotten some rain.your looking at giving from $1300 to $1600 a pair.an maybe more depending on how meny people want them.

Wow, that's a darn good price. Maybe thats why they decided to sell the pairs. If I could get 1500 ave per pair I'd sell.
