If a bull had a birth weight in the mid 80s but had a BW epd in the top 20% of the breed(lighter) and a calving ease direct epd in the top 30% of the breed and the same is true for his parents?

Don't forget a lot depends on your heifers. I have had heifers drop a 90lb or better calf unassisted. I have also seen heifers darned near die trying to spit out a 70 lb calf.

Don't forget a lot of calving ease is structure not just weight. A 90lb rope passes a lot easier than a 70lb Concrete block.
