Anybody watch any of the "congressional hearing" with BP's Hayward? What a bunch of morons. And we elected them. It was like a tag team wrestling match, with the competition being to see who could low-rate the poor guy the worst. He showed a lot more restraint and class than I would have been able to. I was embarrassed for our morons, who apparently are too stupid to be embarrassed for themselves

While it was obviously a purely political circus, I see no excuse for using your power and status to pound someone into the ground like that. The purpose of the meeting was to gather info to help prevent any future similar occurrences. I'm sure that if Hayward had gone to the funerals of the dead workers and hugged their widows, it would have been a mighty powerful preventative measure that would surely prevent any oil spills in the future.

Again I say, what an idiotic, harebrained bunch of morons.

And, no, nowhere have I said that BP was not totally responsible for the accident. I think there's an investigation going on that should fix the blame somewhere.

Well it's good to know that I'm not the only gut that thinks Washington is full of morons.

I never hear anymore about Haliburton's part in this.

Looks like we'd want to make everyone possible accountable for this.

I guess Dick still has friends in high places.

And all the while we debate, the oil keeps spilling.

Saw only a litle of it, but from what I did see Jim is right on. Why do people appear before these high and mighty inquisitors and put up with their arrogant rudness is beyond my understanding.
Ain't it so !!! And the guy from Texas was right to apologize...the BPF were being exposed to a "Chamber of Horrors" . I was sort of glad to see the BP President enjoying the yacht race as well....since he'd already been removed from overseeing the Gulf problem he was relaxing a bit....but barracko was playing golf and he's sstill in charge since day one....how many vacations and trips has he taken during the 62 days of oil leak?
