One of these little $10 gadgets checking bearing temperatures along will give an early warning. Bearings go out over time and extra heat is a warning. I check mine but need to do it more often. A couple times through the years had close calls as a hot bearing melted a belt and another time, I seen smoke out the top from a bearing on top going out. I keep my balers insured 4 sure. Alos get the extra dust and hay off everyday and spray penetrating oil on all bearings that are not greaseable.
