I have a 6yr cow had still born twin calves 7 days ago now she is mounting our bull.
1 is that possible to be in heat that early
2 if bred will it hurt her

Hormones must be out of wack . Not in heat and she's not going to breed is my guess .

Seen 1 once cycle and breed in 9 days but very rare i figure.

They will come in heat very soon when they loose a calf

other members on here have posted that they have had them settle. My vet said it is possible. the uterus is irritated and actually makes a good surface for a fertilized egg to adhere to. I have never had one settle but I AI and have never tried it.

I've had them breed in less than a month after losing a calf but I'm still doubtful on that quick .
