Nice ones Rattler, I like the little ones too. The meat is a lot more tender than them big old bucks.
They might be a bit large for my taste, but I commend you for not going for the big deer; let them breed.

The biggest deer I ever saw came out at 11:15. He was ginormous. Ended up being the county record but unfortunately it wasn't my shot that killed him. But, that's another story. Second biggest I saw was at 3:15.

Have you ever used a moon dial to plot your hunting times?

I like the photos.. nice deer. I gotta nice 11point on my wall..
Since we are on stories.. I saw the biggest deer in my life when I was walking to my stand one afternoon.. he just came across the fence about 200 yards from me, and started grazing. He just looked at me, kept on eating. I decided to take a shot at him, but by the time I got my gun out of the case and shouldered.. the took off back across the fence and into the woods.. Never to be seen again.

What time of day was it when you shot them?

During those special hours??

Just before dark might be code for just before dawn. I could see how you could get them mixed up. Like 9:15 might mean he ran into view of the headlights at 9:14. Nice bucks whenever.

Haymaker, what kind of sausage do you have there? I got my last summer sausage in the frig right now and gotta stock up. How bout a picture show of your setup? And some recipes!

By the way, I thought Ted Nugent said he shot Bambi!

Around here we call it dried sausage,I think some folks call it summer sausage.
My recipe is an old /simple one,its called 20-10-10, its 20lbs venison 10lbs pork and 10lbs beef, use lots of black pepper in mine with garlic and salt, thats really the only seasonings you need if you have good meat.
Some of these ole coots around here use good spring water to get the consistency right for stuffing into casings, but using the best whiskey you can find works good too ;-)
Here is a picture of an old smoke house,no telling how many pounds of sausage its smoked.
