hair missing

Had a newborn this morning born dead. The calf looked perfect, all pieces in the right place ,fully developed,exept it's back had big spots where there were no hair.It was her4th year of calving and never a problem before.
This was not a premature birth.
Anyone seen this before?

There is a recessive trait of British breed cattle that result's in hairless to semi hairless calves.
Bull and cow both have to be carriers I can't remember the long scientific name.
