had weeks of sunny warmth & I'm so tempted

Help Support CattleToday:

I don't even think about planting in the garden until mid May. Usually don't plant until late May sometimes into June. I could plant earlier but I would just get to do it again so I wait.

It's time to plant cabbage and lettuce. If it stays warm like this might have to break out the corn planter.

only going to be 32 acres this year. You can only get burned so many times before you cry uncle, and 2 years of low production corn is enough.

i understand that I normally plant atleast 300 acres a year last year was my worst year .. after i turned it into crop insurance i just cut it into sileage incase i needed a filler if I didn't have enough hay.

We don't put anything in the ground until april, and most things not til mid-late may depending on soil temps.
But I am starting all of the Tomato & Pepper plants, and some flowers this week. So between starting plugs and then transplanting that keeps me pretty busy through most of March.
