This morning when I fed I noticed a heifer lagging behind the others and had her tail out a little. Figured she was close so got her in the barn. This afternoon she was starting. Gave her a little time then we decided she probably couldn't have it. It was an easy pull with the puller. Bull calf was pretty good size for a heifer. I have noticed this year it seems like there is more of a size difference between bull and heifer calves than usual.

Good save! New mama doing her job okay? My official calving should start any day and I've already zeroed in on the heifer I think will go first. All subject to change!

Thanks. Yes so far everything is going well with them. She claims it and we were a little concerned that she might not want it to nurse but she settled down and he was nursing within a half hour to hour. I stood it up a couple of times and after that he was able to get up and walk pretty good.
