H.O.T. Fair

Is anyone taking anything to the H.O.T. (Heart of Texas) Fair and Rodeo this weekend, and next?

Maybe I'll see y'all there.. have a Simmental showing this weekend, and a Simbrah next. Good luck to everyone.

The guys got home from the state fair last night about 9. This Saturday is the Simbrah Sensation and next week are some region shows.

I would have been there and state fair but had other shows planned that have been washed away by Rita. I really wanted to go to the State Fair, but that is the week before National FFA Convention, and I am already missing 4 days for that, then 3 days the week before for Harris County. Also had South Texas Fair for next week, but it was in Beaumont and is postponed for a while, since Ford Park is a military outpost now. Just too hard to get to that many shows when I have school to worry about.

My boys will be there with their simbrahs. When I called the other day, they said they had 500 brahman entered for the open show. That means our ffa chapter will be stalled outside. Hopefully, we are not on the end if it is going to rain.

I wish I would have sent in my entry forms just to be safe. The South Texas Fair got washed away with Rita. That was going to be 3 Brahman shows this Saturday I would have been doing. As of now they are saying it is postponed, but who knows. Oh well, theres much more important things than having a show in Beaumont.

Good luck to all the persons on this board that are in the middle of their show circuit.
The spring show circuit is in full swing down on the coast to our east. Might go to the North Coast National Exhibition 100 miles away next week with a team of South Devons.
