Just for fun, does anybody want to venture a wild guess as to these calf ages? Yes, I realize the photo could not possibly be worse. These are 6-7 YO cows, and larger than my biggest which weighed 1500lbs for size (fence is 5' or taller). This is the only photo I have of 2 pairs I bought in January, my original guess for record keeping was 2-3 months on the older, 1 month on the younger. Wish we had taken better pictures.

Just had the momma of the young one tested for pregnancy, if that calf was less than 10 days old in this pic then she may fall in the range of false positive. He was pretty young, and I lifted him into the trailer, but I was thinking older than 10 days?

Really hard to say.. I could think 1-2 months for the older one, 2-5 weeks for the younger?? A lot will depend on momma's milk and birthweight (did the younger one have any umbilical cord?)

I have a steer that's about 160-180 lbs, and he's only 14 days old.. I wouldn't be picking him up for sure, and I pick up lots of 120 lb'ers.

Umbilical cord, I didn't even think of that. No, he didn't have one, that has to give me at least a week right there surely. Thanks.
