what exactly are they/why aregood for the cows/got my pen built for calf when you said/fantastic/would post pic,but wen j click on the pic from documents to load it just beeps wont load/anyone know why

Grubs are the larvae of the heel fly. They're also called warbles, ox warbles, and probably a dozen or2 other things depending on the area and how upset you are about them.

right click on the picture. click on properties. the next window will tell you the file type/format. I think it's like the 3rd line down

i read the link about the cattle grubs, talked about the fly lays eggs on the legs or bellys, is that the same thing that lays eggs on the horses legs?always called them nits, i have seen a fly buzzing around yellow/ orange, i take a bot block and scape them off,{eggs} the flys will drive the mules and donks nuts buzzing around. but have never had a magget,move in, that would of freaked me out ! Rose

IM CONFUSED[NO SURPRISE] SO DO ALL CATTLE HAVE HEEL FLIES THAT LAY EGGS , SO SINCE YOU CAN NOT SEE INSIDE COW , YOU DO NOT WANT TO PUT A GRUBICIDE ON THEM BECAUSE GRUBS MAY BE IN YOUR CATTLE .AND YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE IF THAY ARE THAY COME OUT ? MY COWS HAVE FLYS ALL AROUND , DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OF FLYS THAY ARE .

Heel flys a re seasonal, much like horseflys and come out about the same time around here. When you worm in the fall, use a grabicide. That way there isn;t a worry any other time. When you see the cattle "hightailing it" across the pasture, more then likely it's heel flys
