If the price for a pound of ground beef goes from3.97 to 4.97 how will that help us ( small) by this time next year?

I agree. Good cows are hard to find now and with higher slaughter prices many cows that could have a few good years left in them will go to slaughter. Slaughter cows and bulls will be very high by mid May if the trend continues as usual.
