Has anybody had any good results with foliar spraying on greenbriar infestations? If so, what did you use and at what percentage of the herbicide to the water & surfacant mixture? I seem to recall somebody posting about a year ago of having good results, possibly with Surmount or Pastureguard, but I can't remember the name brand for certain.

I have used Gorden "Brushmaster" with very good results. Soak all the growth well once a year for 2 years and it should be completely dead

When I was in the landscaping and irrigation business we occasionally had a job site with greenbriar infestation. Those underground runners and nodules (some we found up to orange size) were problematic. IF you spray with a "lethal" type herbicide before the above ground shoots are 3-12" tall when leaves are close together, you have an average chance of killing them. If you wait until they are tall (leaves are spaced far apart), then minimal kill success.

We used a strong solution of glyphosate on them. However, are probably better and stronger chemicals for pasture, etc. management.

Best of luck! :)
