Hi,
I've been looking online for a sample grazing lease to no avail. We rent our pasture out (by the head or pair, not by the acre) but not for weight gain which seems to be the only kind of contact I can find.
We're looking for a basic renting the grass for "x" number of cattle or pairs for "x" period of months for "x" amount of dollars per head (or pair). We've been renting grass with only a verbal contract for the past 3 years but have found that can lead to misunderstandings and hard feelings so want to do it right. Our lawyer offered to write us one for a $100-150 fee but if we can write our own or find one for cheaper online it would sure be more affordable!
Does anyone have a good source for basic leases? We could make our own changes or additions but need somewhere to start.
