So we have this every year. Calves are born good for awhile then come down with gray **** some stay active and once in a while one will get a fever and we have to treat it. Is there any way to prevent this? We give them multiple meds. as soon as they're born. If you want I can get the name of the meds. Joe P.S We treat our cows with scour bos 9.

Weather been wet? Cows udders dirty? Just a mild case of scours usually.. Unless it gets really watery,bloody..etc.

And why does this board feel the need to protect us from the simple word $hit. A board dedicated to cows, is gonna have to be comfortable around shi... poop?

Because I don't want to see it on this forum.

I forgot, words hurt.

Now look at the title of this thread, what sort of sense does that make? How about change the word to a similar word that doesn't hurt, if you feel the need to sensor peoples speech.

You could use the term scours! But that would take away one more thing for people to complain about, the "be nice" filter

Where's that thumbs up button when you need it

I often type "be nice" in my original post and let folks interpret from that point themselves.
Same thing at NAT, only I type in "grawlix".
Maybe just for fun, I should mix my metaphors. Type "be nice" at NAT and "grawlix" here

He's just voicing an opinion and alternative. I happen to agree with him for all that that is worth

It ain't my call, and the owners have the right to do as they please, but the word shyt is pretty common in the cow bidness. It ain't like he was using the f and c words. People get bent out of shape at the smallest things these days.

Common to some. Not so common to others.

It also doesn;t always refer to the by-product of cows. Such as give a s..., bunch of s..., etc. Macon doesn;t allow profanity, pretty simple. He also doesn;t like pseugo profanity, i.e, shyt, bytch, a$$hole, etc. But that stuff frequently gets through.

Rightly so.
