grass identity

anybody know what kind of grass this is ?
this is an old crp pasture and there were several different grasses sown and after the drought some new grasses have come up.

Don't know the name of it but we have it here too....last year was 1st year I had noticed it. It's everywhere. Very little grass to it..just stem and seed head.

looks like the same kind of sage to me that grows all over Tom Green county (San Angelo). Dunno what it's called.

Looks like a bluestem....KR was my first thought but the seedhead seems rather large...So probably Old World Bluestem or WW B-Dahl. Could be some of both as the leaf of some looks smaller than I would expect for B=Dahl.

i was thinking old world bluestem also
i first thought ww spar but from the few pictures i've seen i don;t think so.
b dahl doesn't do well here although dr dahl developed the grass 60 or so miles south of me so i guess it's possible but this would be the first year i noticed it.
saw some pictures of a yellow bluestem that looked close

If it seeds multiple times it is more than likely KR Bluestem. Dahl usually only seed once in the fall and has a broader leaf. Also Dahl has an aroma that is very noticeable.
