Fished over around there, mostly rivers. Never stayed over night.

Beautiful area, that's probably more water and clearer water than you're used to. Just because you can see the bottom doesn't mean it's not deep. I'm not telling you how I learned that.

It's not the best time of year, but if you hook one of those spoon bills, you'll know you have a fish on.

If you're just out galavanting around the state fishing, Texoma stripers are something a man should experience before he dies.
 
Mostly just wanting to get away for awhile and see the area
I used to travel that area for work but never had the chance to spent anytime there
 
About October is the best fishing on grand IMO. Spring and summer can be slow. Dad fished a tournament there a few years ago and it was won by a guy with 1 8 pounder, I don't even think there was but one limit weighed out of 120 boats, that was in march.
