Hello,

I have a finca (property) in the Chiriquí highlands of Panama. The highlands of Panama are dairy, cattle, and farming land that is extremely rich and fertile.

Beef is available everywhere, but it is all grass fed, and usually Brahman. Maybe good for your health, but not the most tender.

The problem is that I and many others from the USA and Europe prefer the flavor of grain fed beef. I have about 7 acres on my twelve acres that is good pasture. I am now grazing a steer that belongs to my hired man. It is a holstein, but there are black angus available there that I plan to buy in the calf state for raising steak.

The question is: advice on the best way to produce tender grain fed beef.

I am opening a restaurant there that will specialize in good quality beef . The only way to get what I want seems to be to do it myself. Also the hamburger does not taste like hamburger from the lean grassfed local beef.

I have heard of "power feeding" don't quite know what it is. Any help?
