Any economical suggestions for a economical GPS for spraying and fertilizer spreading?

Saw these:

A guy in my area says they have three of these and like them.

I also use the Teejet 430. I wish it it a bigger screen. Strojan's suggestion about mounting the GPS forward makes a lot of sense.

I don't use the light bar that much. I usually just look at the screen painting the field. If you are on a plowed field, using the unit plus your tire tracks can make things very easy.

The acre counter is the most valuable feature. You don't have to constantly look around to see how much is left in the tank.

Couple guys at work use a free app to spray with. One uses an old iPad and says it works great. I'll try and ask them tomorrow.

I've got a Trimble EZ Guide 250. It wasn't terribly expensive when I bought it but the new ones have gotten high. Hoping to get autosteer for it this year.

Autosteer was life changing for me

I think the autosteer setup is around $3k. I'm a little hesitant since all of our pasture are 60-120 acres and irregular shaped, but our guy that sprays now says I'll love it. We'll see how the calves do in May I guess.

Try Farm Sprayer in the app store. There are several available but they use Farm Sprayer on an iPad.

On Trac by agricision works great for me. Low cost setup and easily move between machines. May be less precision than some but perfect for spraying and fertilizing.

Any issue with seeing the lights on the device out front?

Really no issues at all seeing it. But since I've had it, I find that I really don't use the parallel line function much. Once the A/B lines are set I find that my pastures and my sprayer/fertilizer buggy all come together better with the coverage function. It colors the ground you've covered and I don't have to keep straight lines.
It's a great function and it works, and the lights are bright, but it just doesn't suit me as well.
If you set your equipment parameters correctly it will definitely get you covered either way.

Are you using a phone or tablet? Android or Apple?

Thanks for your input.

It is like $60 a year. I have tried it on a phone and it seems several feet and slow about correcting my location. I have heard an external antenna helps with these apps.
