I had been kicking myself for selling these girls last fall. But I got the opportunity to buy them back. They are bred to CE SimAngus bull. That's the only part that concerns me a little as he's not papered but he was a A.I. calf and mamma is a Reg. Black Angus he didn't remember who he A.I.ed her to but, he's going to ask the GENEX man. So, it's not like he didn't have something to go on. But, he had plans to calve and keep them as he even branded them. He just had some things come up where he needed the money. If I keep all of these I'll have 25 heifers to calve in the spring. Wish me luck. Thanks B&G

Last one is the bull. All the heifers have the same brand.

Very nice! And although you may not know much about the bull at least you know the history on the heifers side. I'd be a lot more nervous calving out heifers I knew nothing about.

You'll likely get along just fine.
We're using high CED Simmental sires over all of our heifers...ANxSH, SimAngus, and high %Angus. No problems.

Thanks Lucky for the input. All these heifers are either Hereford or Balancer sired. And their dams are mainly Black Angus or Gelbvieh B&G

Congratulations! I still kick myself for selling some heifers I really liked - especially since it was to a local rancher who, as it turns out, doesn't really take care of them. While we haven't been in the cattle business that long, it's been our experience that regardless of the bull's EPD's, the best calves are raised by the best cows: 2 of our cows were sired by our neighbors ugly, mean, fence-hopping, NOT registered bull but raised by amazing mommas & are now on their 3rd & 4th calves. And we recently sold a bull that had stellar EPD's but he was aggressive - and yet his calves awesome.

Good luck with your girls and I'm glad they're home :)
