Kathie I have been a regular customer to this store for years. I have seen clerks come and go. My supervisor is the only one who has been there the longest. One of the negatives said that it is just a boring job, nothing to do except for delivery day. I said nothing. I thought it but kept my mouth shut. You can tell just from their body language that they don't want to be there. Believe me if I could see that months ago as a customer, you know other customers see it too. There was a clerk that worked there back in '97-'98. I had gone in and filled my cart with groceries. Around $250.00 worth. There was only one checker, they finally got this guy to come up front to help; now we can use any till; I was at till 2 and he went past me to till 3 and started helping other people and smirked at me. I walked out the door leaving that basket sitting there. I did not got back for months. When I did finally go back the owner asked me what happened. I told her. That clerk was fired. Customers are the business. If there is a poor attitude or anything like that the customers won't come in. I'm not looking to see what they haven't done but am looking for things that need to be done. We do the milk at 10am and 4pm. Do the pop and dairy between that time. Check the beer case and stock it if we have it. Face shelves. Stock the sale items. I was asking last night who sweeps the floor. Was told the owners will come in after hours and do it. I was going to start but some customers came in so that was put on hold. Just trying to do it like they are doing it. It is not my place to make suggestions for changes, everything is working. This is the only place I'm talking about it. I like staying busy, it is part of my nature. Small towns talk. When I was hired on the 2nd I only told 3 people. When my boss got home that night his son mentioned that he had heard I got hired to work there. So you can see why I'm not talking with anyone around there nor on FB.
