Goodbye Rodger?

I lost interest in the nfl, and don't have a thought one about the guy. But if he lied, and I'm sure the nfl had a copy of the tape, so I'm sure he lied knowing nothing else, then he should be sent packing if they want to maintain any type of credibility. If the organization doesn't care, then they should keep him.

But this bs of hiring an investigator to investigate your own organization is absurd and does nothing but confirms my loss of interest in the league. If you can't figure out what's going on in your own organization, then obviously your incompetent in running it and should be discharged on those grounds alone.

Honestly think it's funny that the police kept a copy of the voice mail. That had to be a kick in the cajones.

That's only, because the police aren't yet up to the standards of the US Internal Revenue Service....but NFL may be.

The hole is getting deeper ....

Ray Rice informed Roger Goodell that he hit his fiancee, four sources said. That contradicts Goodell's assertion Rice was ambiguous.

The NFL has appointed a panel of four women to give them cover on these things. High power women who will have some integrity and some influence with the public. Everyone in the league, from Goodell to the punter on the practice squad of the Vikings will go to sensitivity training. Problem solved!?

All in-stadium employees and spectators will also have to go to sensitivity training, get issued a card and have to show it before entering the stadium gates on game day.
The pigs the football is made from, will also have to attend these classes.

They haven't figured out how to do it yet, but they are leaning toward making all the TV viewers go as well.
(perhaps make it mandatory thru a bit of software, that every viewer first watch The View that week.)

Should he stay or should he go?
I think we can all agree Roger Goodell should never have punched Ray Rice's wife. :)

Anheuser Busch's idle threat of pulling beer advertising from NFL games is the biggest bluff of the decade.
Makes me wonder what's really going on behind the scenes.
My guess is there is a power play at work by either the players association or most likely a group of owners who
would like to oust Goodell and take over running the NFL by putting in their man/woman. [maybe Condoleeza Rice?]
(I haven't checked.... but I'm pretty sure Condoleeza Rice is Ray Rice's sister  )

Isn't the media uproar misdirected?
What about the judicial system?
What about the prosecuting district attorney, Jim McClain the head of Atlantic county's D.A. office
What about the judge?
March 27, 2014 a grand jury indicted Rice on third degree aggravated assault, with a possible fine of up to $15,000
and a possible jail sentence of up to 5 years.
March 28, 2014 Janay & Ray got married. [a spouse cannot be forced to testify against a spouse]
Kathy Boyle administrator of pretrial intervention spoke with Janay and said she took her wishes into account.
District attorney Jim McClain, in charge of appointing the prosecuting attorney in each case, chose to personally handle the case.
After reviewing all of the evidence including the video tape and talking with Kathy Boyle, McClain said, the evidence wasn't strong enough to get a conviction with jail time against a 1st time offender like Ray Rice. He recommended to the judge
to drop the criminal charges if Ray Rice would undergo court supervised counseling. The judge, who has the option of
reviewing all of the evidence first, chose to agree with McClain and handed down the sentence. Case closed, as long and
as soon as Rice completes the counseling program. Can't be tried twice for same crime.

Roger Goodell fined Rice $500,000.00 more than 30 times the maximum of what the court system would be allowed to do.
Rice is already in court ordered counseling.
Goodell sentenced Rice to an additional 2 game suspension.

Roger Goodell could have been harsher, but he did more than our judicial system.
Seems to me If anyone should lose their job in the handling of the Ray Rice case it should be the D.A. Jim McClain and
perhaps the presiding judge.

LOL Really???
And where did you find these "facts"?
Some people will believe anything.
These exact same lies, figures and false accusations about misdeeds by members of congress have been floating around on the internet since 1998. Don't bother me with facts....
Seems people are so willing to believe the worst that they willingly swallow such foolishness as truth, hook, line and sinker.
Amazing to me how gullible people are and that they actually forward these lies or post them without doing any fact checking.

Although the addition of the words 'directly or indirectly' is new...in 1998 it was 117 bankrupted at least two companies.
Since bankruptcies are a matter of public record and can easily proven true or false, adding indirectly makes fact checking
it impossible.
Doesn't it make you wonder why someone would gather such seemingly impressive statistics and yet never name names?

If the local law enforcment and courts would get out of the position of Hooks avatar and actaully do their jobs, congress and every other over sensitive organization could leave the sports world alone.

Hold on a minute, are we talking about the NFL or the Obama Administration?

It's just ingrained in the sport I guess to see something like the west coast offense that's working, and copy it. In this case, it's the east coast defense aka the Penn ave defense that's so popular and apparently effective on the US general public.

Guess I'm just not a fan of it, I'm old fashioned and prefer up the middle truth and no trick plays. But if it works, I guess it works.

Oh look something shiny... what were we talking about?
