Has anyone ever tried to put multiple bait stations in pastures in efforts to help control flies? I never used the stuff before does it work well? I am considering putting up bait stations out around the pasture and wondered what anyone elses experience with it was.

Dag they have these containers I saw at tractor supply that I dont think birds can get any. Did it help control the flies any?
 
I have been told that a couple of teaspoons in a can of cat food would kill coons. Would your bait stations be dog proof? Do not know if this would be a concern or not.

Definately be dog proof.. My idea is making bird houses and putting the stuff inside to where only flies can get in there and nailing them to my fence posts . I guess since birds eat it I would have to put some wire that would restrict birds from coming in there .

I was thinking of putting the malrin in something like this too

:lol2: I am willing to try anything to help kill flies .. I made flytraps out of 2 liter bottles and caught a ton of flies and skeeters. I took water yeast and brown sugar boiled it then put in those traps it works but I want something better.

Never saw that before looks cool.. I cant believe that is over 300 bucks
 
I sow it on the concrete like turnip seed. It works well on flies. Can't say it really reduces the numbers though because it always seems there are more flies willing to take their place but it does give you a nice feeling when you see hundreds of dead flies on the ground and scores of drunken ones wallering around in the dirt.
 
If you can still get the original, the stuff is DEADLY! They have pulled it from most of the places around here though. I still have a big can of it and it will flat kill a coon. You definitely do not want it anywhere a pet or a small child can get into it. It kills flies, but does anything really kill enough flies? :???:
