Saudi Arabia's King Salmon's escalator made of gold on his private jet malfunctioned as he was 1/2 way down on his
arrival in Moscow. Took him about 15 seconds to understand it had turned into only stairs. Vanity, vanity all is vanity.
Hope he wasn't planning on riding it up to 77 virgins.

From my reading, the promise of 72 virgins for martyrs, terrorists or suicide bombers is No where to be found in the Quran. That is not to say some of the terrorist don't know that! The promise of maidens is made to all men who reach heaven.

The section many people claim promises this is Chapter (78) called sūrat l-naba or in English, the great news . The idea seems to come from a bad understanding of verses in the Quran that describes their heaven.

From verses 29 to 34. English translation:

And all things We have recorded in a book. (29)

So taste you (the results of your evil actions); No increase shall We give you, except in torment. (30)

Verily, for the Muttaqûn[], there will be a success (Paradise); (31)

Gardens and vineyards, (32)

And young full-breasted maidens of equal age, (33)

And a full cup (of wine). (34)

I didn't know much about the guy so just skimmed his wiki page. Apparently he has Alzheimer's.
He's had 13 children, only one of which was female. (Wonder if they do like in a documentary I saw on rural India and China, where they just sort of let the girl babies die due to lack of feeding etc)...
