could someone give me some advice on goats. how much feed they need and what kind of goats are the best to have and about how many per acre. any advice on goats would be helpful,,,,,thanks tommy

A friend of mine bought some goats cause he couldn't afford cows.
2 goats dropped dead upon arrival from the auction, 2 got in a fight with his dog and lost. Another one just took off through the fence and never came back and the last one gets out a lot. I think he's going into chickens now.
This is not a joke. It actually happened.
I also have a neighbor that has some boer goats and it seems to me like they are a good idea but you have to have really good goat fence, a pen to put them every night and keep safe from the coyotes. My neighbor also runs a jennie with them for protection.
I know cabritos sell pretty well and goats pretty much east just about anything.
