How about Univ. of Houston demolishing Oklahoma? Sorry OK boys (and gals) but they looked pretty weak yesterday.
 
The kick six was great. They're 4-0 when underdogs under present head coach.
But, to get in the playoff, they'll have to win every game and hope a power 5 conference has 2 losses--will also help if Oklahoma goes on to beat some goood teams in the next few weekends....IOW, Houston still has a long row to hoe.
 
While not a fan of theirs per se, watching UH football is sort of a weird hobby or guilty pleasure for my wife and I. I enjoyed it.
 
And unranked UT beats Notre Dame too.
Texas, Baylor, TCU, Houston, Texas A&M, SMU, and Texas Tech all won their openers. Unfortunately, Rice (Fear the Owl) lost badly to Western Kentucky.

I agree--something's suspiciously afoot when Rice can't beat the Hilltoppers... :help: ;-)
(WKU is actually a pretty good program)
 
really liking this new playoff thing b/c it's forcing teams to actually play real teams the first couple of weeks so they stay high in the rankings. It's been a pretty exciting week of football and this is only week 1. I can't wait to see what the season brings.
