For anyone interested, there is going to be a Texas Longhorn Show this weekend (March 10-12) in Glen Rose, TX. Will be lots of breeders, and new exhibitors there. If anyone is in the area we'd love to have ya out there to watch.
 
I just took some non-haltered and a trophy steer. The steer got Reserve Junior Champion, none of my non-haltered junior females did very well, but my Mature (5yr old) Female got Reserve Grand Champion Non-Haltered Mature female.

How did your neighbors do? THere were a lot of first time exhibitors there. To me, it looked like they did well and had fun for the most part.

My neighbor did well. He said he got grand with the steer he took. This was not the 1st time the steer was shown, but our neighbors first time in the ring has a handler.

Oh yeah, I met him. Real nice guy. He did a real good job, especially for being the first time for him to show!
