Gibbs racing Switching to Toyota.

It's a money business and I'm sure Gibbs got a nice price for switching, I don't think it says anything about Toyota being better than their old cars.

It hasn;t been a great American passstime since they made the first foray to japan to race.
With the COT the only thing that will be GM, Ford, Dodge or Toyota are the engines and maybe a decal on the nose.
Lest get back to real cars, Ford Torino, Dodge Chargers and whatever full size car chevy made. Pop those 400 plus cu in engines in them, get rid of power steering and let the better driver win.
Is totota on NASCAR any different then Ford having gone to Europe and run LeMans, or for that matter Gurney running his Eagles in F1?

Amen to that Dun and lets get rid of restrictor plates and I want to see them on a dirt track once and a while also.Everything has changed so much in the last 15 years that a person hardly recognizes the old WCS when watching retro ESPN to the Sunday NCR's now.

One more thing get rid of Rusty Wallace as an anouncer.Man I sure miss Benny.

Unfortunately I don't think that will ever happen.I can even see them dumping some of the traditional tracks and moving them for a more younger and $$ driven location.I have only seen them live once and it was amazing.I would live to see a short track the next time like Bristol an evening race would be even better.

We all know it will never happen, but it doesn;t hurt to wish. For those that don;t like the way NASCAR is going and feel so strongly that they'll quit following/watching/attending because of it, visit your local dirt track. Saturday night racing is how it all got started in the first place. With any luck you'll see the up and coming Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards, etc. and remember when they were just local small town racers.

Best racing anywhere is sprint cars on dirt. WOOOHOOOO.

NASCAR mandates the car to keep competition even and costs lower than they would be otherwise. I wish they would open up a little and get rid of the carburetors and allow multivalve engines.
Heck, you can't buy a new production auto any more with a carburetor. There are very few new two valve engines.

The superspeedway races are mostly interesting for the crashes.

I would really like to see them do away with the race to the chase crap, just race it out till the end like they used to.

The only good thing about the chase, which I detest, is that maybe gordhole won;t win the championship. He srue would have without.

It seems all this mess was started with him.

Before that it was a true red neck sport that I truly enjoyed. They went after the yuppie crowd with him and are now even more trying to expand there viewer base with montoyo and toyota.
