just wanting to get some thoughts on my problem. my uncles have about 100 acres of pasture that has been completely taken over by centipede that started spreading from my dads yard about 25 years ago. the pasture is overgrazed now but they will be selling out in the next year or so. neighboring pastures are bahia but the centipede is already spreading to there side. any chance of putting a high phosphate fertilizer out after their cows are gone and getting the bahia back. what other suggestions besides roundup on the whole place?

Check your ph. You may need to add lime as centipede likes an acid soil. You may still need to roundup and then fertilize. The Bahia should come back from the seed bank, get thick from the fertilizer and keep the centipede choked out.

That's what I do when it gets bad . It's usually from years of over grazing under fertalizing. Doesn't hurt to scratch the ground with a disc. After you have followed steps 1 2 and 3
