Been busy organizing things for our open day on the 20th June,on property.
Cattle preparation is going along well for the Brisbane Royal Show in August.
Had some enquiry about our open day so far and haven't started the radio adverts etc yet, direct mailed and emailed a few clients. Hopefully will sell some cattle.
Calves have just started arriving from our polled South Devon and polled Red Brahman bulls purchased last year.
Better get back to work.

Good Luck with the open day! Hope you sell lots of cattle to good homes.

Been busy tidying our place up for the expected 100 or so people that might attend. I'm some what concerned that the weather might not be the best. The forecast is for showers (most likely sleet probably be about 8 to 10 degrees celcius) the forecast down south is for blizzards so we'll probably get a cold wind at the very least.
Never mind thats life and our unpredictable country. Last week it was drought out west now its too wet to get to plant a crop.
Started bringing the cattle in closer to the house especially the cows that are newly calved, because they take time to move with new babies.
Still have to paint a couple of posts and rails to freshen things up.

almost there, ready for the open day. Only have to get the cattle haltered and the Brahman herd in yet.
Have to put up the directional signs tomorrow afternoon.
There's rain on the way, predicting possible snow and sleet for Wednesday thank goodness two days after our day.
Big frost, down to minus 5 this morning but a nice day it ended up being.

Our open day was freezing cold, not as many attended as usual. The persons who had their days after ours had snow and sleet so our day was one of the better days, temperature wise. The coastal people that had their day at the end of the week had a lot better day.
We have sold a few SD females since the event. Wasn't too concerned as the bulls will sell in time to come.
