1st Place: a week with Hillary

2nd Place: 2 weeks with Hillary

Will let you know tomorrow sometime. Need my sleep more than I used to so will be hitting the sack right after we get home tonite.

All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down.

My guess is, "Fire on the Mountain" by the Marshall Tucker Band. :D
A nearly perfect C & W song.

Finally found it on cd about a year ago. ;-)

I bought and downloaded that one and "Long Hard Ride" to burn on my favorites CD. I can at least listen to some good music coming home from the ranch after getting my butt kicked all day. Don't forget "Bandy the Rodeo Clown" and "Someday Soon". Throw some classic "Hag" in there too.

The perfect country western song is "You don't have to call me darlin darlin"
Cause it has trucks, trains, momma, prison, and gettin drunk

sounds like you know good music DR ill give you that ;-)

I saw George perform in Houston two years ago but I can't remember what he opened with. Seems like my friends were trying to pour too much Shiner down me-doggone it. :)

Home for lunch. Quick update then back to work.

Opening song was "Honk if you Honkytonk" so fortunately no winners. Wouldn't have been able to deliver prize anyway. Talked to Hillary last night and she said she'd rather pick Monica as her running mate than spend any time with a bunch of ignorant rednecks that wouldn't vote for her anyway. :P :P

Tracy Lawrence was there too and he was fastastic. George was great but sang my 2 favorite GS songs real early. Would rather have them late but you can't have everthing.

I worked with George Strait in Nashville in 1985, doing voice-overs and cleaning up a live concert to be aired on TV. He is a real down to earth type guy.

The concert was recorded on multi-track tape and he stayed while everyone of his band members cleaned up their mistakes made in the concert.

One of my fondest memories in the music business, right behind Jerry Lee shooting his Bass Player.

WOW! I'm impressed! Some day you'll have to fill us in on some of your other memories, if they're not too personal.

Friend of mine has worked security at the Assembly Hall where concert was last night for past 26 years. Always says the country acts are usually the most accessible and down to earth. I figger its got something to do with their upbringing.

Ya Think?

I figured the Rap ones were more calm. ;-) ;-)

This friend of mine is black and he HATES the rap concerts. Says most of them are a bunch of self-centered a$$holes. Tends to bring in a bad crowd, too.

Anything George Strait does is worth it. He is the tried and true cowboy!! But my favorite songs are, "Remember When" War Paint and my wedding song not done by Alan Jackson but War Paints best friend Jimmy, and our in our room favorite song by Hootie and Blowfish "I Only Wanna Be With You".
Anything you can slow dance and polish belt buckles to is okay with me! :D 8) ;-)
