Gate size

That's ok. It is near the chute and needed to load cattle.

Thanks,

The 14' gate I have going in to my loading chute is installed at an angle, so coming at it straight it's still only about a 12' opening.

The bigger gate makes it easier to clean snow out this time of year with the tractor instead of a scoop shovel. Most times I can back right up to the gate with a 7' snowblower and get it open without too much hand shovelling ;-)

Most store bought gates are approx. 4" under sized to allow for the hinges , A 12 foot gate actually measures 11'8" or close to that. the cheap ones come with the screw in hangers which work fine on 12' or less IMO. when I hang a gate I use the screw in on the bottom and buy a bolt thru hanger on the top. it makes the adjustments easier and you don't have to worry about the top one pulling out.
