We will be having a contest on the 'Weather/Elements' in the near future so before your rainy season is over take some pics of lightning, rainbows, storms(dust/rain),flooding etc - be prepared :D

How about pics of a blizzard ?

We hit the deepfeeze hard yesterday we were in the 20's still and in half hour dropped 10 degrees . High of 5 today and they are threatening snow and we are supposed to finally get a killing frost tonight. We did finally get some rain too, since November we only had maybe 5 mls.

Why do I live here again . :???: Oh right, no snakes ! :D

dang monday morning we had a double rainbow with both ends touching the ground while I was on my way to work and I told myself i should stop and take a picture.

well.....for me....
I would rather risk an infrequent encounter with an ocassional serpent which I can easily master as long as I am alert......

as opposed to the constant threat of freezing to death subsequent to almost any failure of anything for six months out of the year.

car break down in a remote area.....body found in the spring thaw in june.....
falling into a snow drift due to crust breaking....body found in spring thaw in june....I nearly had this one happen once.
just plain long hypthermia from cold exposure....body found in spring thaw in june....
wife snowbound with cabin fever.....bodies found after spring thaw in June...

it was 86 degrees here yesterday and you could cut the air with a knife......
was dripping sweat from the top of my head, down my back, off my belly, off my elbows and off my knees
but I will take it anytime over freezing to death....
the winter of 77 in northeast Ohio taught me that I ain't no eskimo and I have no desire to ever be an eskimo pie....again....

supposed to get down into the forties next week....
think I will hibernate....

That has the making of a good pic for this category, I'd hate to have to be the one taking the pics though :)
