Had our VFD Fundraiser today. We raised more than enough to purchase an AED that is needed desperatly in our community. Lost three people to heart attacks in the year we have been here. Now maybe we can save some.

BBQ brisket dinner/auction of donated items/raffle tickets for a 20 ga.shotgun (see a true Redneck fundraiser) :lol: Went well raised almost $4000.00.

Our local VFD got one of those last year. A bunch of real rednecks can run it. Pretty neat, but I think it cost WAY more than 4 grand.

These are the same guys that left their hounds baying on a tree to go to a fire. Dedicated bunch they are. Crude and rough looking, but I'd sure want them all in my corner if I needed help.

They have come WAY down in price. Phillips makes one of the best on the market and it sells for about $1700.00.
