Has anyone had issues using sta bil in small Honda engines? Our fire department was having issues with extrication pump with Honda engine. Dealer said to discontinue sta bil. No problems since.
 
I used it in a honda engine powered generator for years along with all other gas engines except the car and truck. I even use it in the outboard. For the big generator (powers the entire farm) with a honda engine I've been using it for 15 years with no issues.
 
Never heard of it causing problems. I use Seafoam now but used Stabil for years with no issues. It does have a shelf life and gets flakes if it sits too long, that could mess up a carb.

Yes.
I quit using it and went to 91 Octane ethanol free gas.
Even 91 O will go bad but it takes a lot longer.

I would use pure gas because if the engines set for a while the 10% ethanol will eat up anything rubber, carb diaphragms, and just about everything else in the carb. Also the ethanol with cause moisture which can lead to rust and other problems. IMO I don't believe the Stabil is a problem.
 
I have a 12 year old Hustler Fastrak ZT with a Honda 18 V twin. No fuel related problems running "may contain up to 10%". Use Stabil, Sea Foam, and started this year using the new BS fuel supplement...just mix in all 3 and went to 91 octane this year which made a difference in easy starting, especially after sitting.
