Well Fort Worth is over for me, and I am pretty disappointed with it. Not because I placed at the bottom of my class, but because of the entire judging. I was in a class of 3 (me and 2 other bulls), mine supposedly being the oldest in the class (by almost 2 months), but also the smallest. The other had to be at least 3-4 months older than mine. Unfortunately I cant mention who those ranches were, because if you badmouth the wrong guy, youll never get anywhere at any show. It is so obvious too, and everyone knows what is going on, but cant say anything because it will ruin their entire future with that breed. The judge was obviously picking certain ranches as the winner in nearly every class too. I guess you have to have the right brand to do well in this business. The judge seemed to be nothing more than an actor, acting like he was really judging the animals but really knew who the winner was before they came in to the show ring. I am extremely disappointed. I enjoy the whole thing, I love to show, but leaving not knowing what my animal really is like is disappointing. I will continue to show since I enjoy doing it, but these major shows (at least the brahman show), was really just a joke.
