Does anyone have any strong opinions against freeze branding? From what I have read, it is a lot easier on the cattle and doesn't seem to have any real drawbacks (with the exception of light colored cattle). I appreciate that it is gentler on the cows which is why I would like to go with that method. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!

We have black angus and freeze brand. It shows up good. The electric branding we did for years. Sometimes dry ice is hard to get. Liq nitirgon is real hard to get at the right time. Not hard to do just take a little more time. Good Luck.

Just remember that several states do not recognize a freeze brand as a proof of ownership like they do the hot iron brand...
