Only in the most affected ones. I've seen them with what almost apears to be a penis on the vulva and looked like a bristle brush. Others look and feel completely normal but they just don;t have adequate hormones to carry a pregnancy but they'll breed just like anythign else, just don;t calve.bigbruh":1jzcar4b said:

I look at the udder even more than I look at the vulva(although the vulva is usually the thing that I notice first when I'm NOT looking for freemartins) I've found that alot of times I can pick out freemartins whose reproductive tracts are fairly normal by looking at the udder development. They should have a little extra leather down there and four things that a child can figure out must be teats when she grows up but most freemartins will have alot less udder development even if the vulva is fully formed.

I remember I had to help the vet do surgery on one of his heifers that was a freemartin because it (literally was an it) was peeing up and on itself than down and out. This freemartin was a literal hermaphrodite, and had the male bullish characteristics, minus the sheath and penis and testes when she/it got around a year old.dun":34jj1r8i said:
