No and no. <p>With twins where both are heifers you have no male hormones present to interfere with the development of either heifer's reproductive organs. The heifers are normal.<p>It's only when you have a set of twins composed of one heifer calf and one bull calf that the heifer has a problem. This is because the male hormones of the bull calf affect (damage) the development of the twin heifer calf's reproductive organs. Male hormones are normal for a bull calf and do not do him any harm. <br>

Dale,<br>I have a set of holstein heifer twins. They are two yrs old and both are bred. I don't think there is a problem when it's heifer twins. I've heard that the bulls may not be as fertile, but don't know if there is any truth to it.<br>Tim<br>
