Here it is. I found it in reference to the thread on, "disorder in the court".

I had my own private run in with these Freeman. I was coyote hunting on Bureau of Land Management land near Jordan, MT. I was about one quarter mile from my truck. A guy came driving up to me in a harried fashion. Pulled up extremely close to me. Ask me what I was doing. Told me to get off his land. I said, "Sir, I am on US Government Property open to public use." He said like hell you are. I don't recognize the US Government. I offered to show him my BLM map. He became very angry and his left hand went down became rigid and I always assumed he had a handgun in his hand that was stashed in the map pocket on the door. I was carrying a Win 70 Pre 64 .270. But I had no interest in seeing who got the first shot off. I assumed he was already pointing the gun at me and intended to shoot through the door. I was elated to tell him I was ready to leave.

We have some here in west Arkansas and east Oklahoma. They call themselves "Christian Freemen" around here. I don't know if they are affiliated in any way, but most of them around here just want to be left alone. I've not heard of any becoming aggressive. I've met many of them, and it seems they are tought to be "wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove". They often end up in court for not having drivers license or other types of licenses/certifications. They believe the "state" has no right to intrude on their "freedom to contract" between private parties. Different bunch for sure, but I've never met any that are rude or disrespectful, and definately not threatening. If I had to pick a bunch to be in the trench with with me when the shtf, it would be these local folks.

A few years before the scuffle in Garfield Co.[govt. vs the freemen] we had a similar incident just south of the Missouri river involveing a group called the posse comitatis[both probaly spelled wrong]They also were pretty violent and did'nt do our reputation any good. Beef Man, we have a miscommunication. That incident occurred about 1992. Before the Garfield Co stand-off. I lived in Helena, MT from 1987 to 2005. I hunted back then. Elk in the Elk Mountains near Helena. Shot a Rocky Mtn Goat in the Tobacco Roots and a Bighorn Sheep near Anaconda.

I would go out your way for varmint hunting. In fact, I found out the hard way. You don't want to be in that Jordan country when the ground is wet. I have never seen mud anywhere like that. What do the locals call it? Gumbo or something like that.

I got to be very close friends with a guy named Patton. His family had several sections near Mile City. What interesting stories he told about his Granddad who homesteaded that country. Ever been to that restaurant in Sidney that has the big Paddlefish mounted on the wall? I understand the Missouri River there at Sidney still has some but they are now rare. I love the memories I have of my times there. I was near Fort Peck once with some friends and we found an old mine adit that was absolutely full of Prairie Rattlesnakes. We caught the bigger ones and cooked them. Tasted just like chicken. Just kidding, reminded me of frog legs.

Yeah I was involved with the group that moved into Jordan... Several lived in our county and tried to ride roughshod over folks by intimidation.. Threatened all government officials and filed "Tax Liens" against many- that tied up the officials funds until finally a State Judge informed the County Clerks to refuse to file them... They put out "wanted" posters for some County Attorneys and Sheriffs with rewards for hanging them ... They were tied to the white supremacy group "Aryan Nation"- which is how some were first taken down at Jordan... An FBI Agent who had been undercover in the white supremacy groups got to know the leaders of the Freemen who they went to meet and instead were greeted by agents....
During a time when many farmer/ranchers were losing their places for inability to pay back their federal loans- the Freemen leadership were able to play on the predicament of these folks and suck them into the belief they didn't have to pay off their loans or pay taxes...
Some believed that any government land they leased was now theirs for the keeping...One fellow built several houses (shacks) on government land over the years... Most had no respect for government- especially the Federal government (altho they apparently believed in them when they took the federal backed loans they were refusing to pay back)... They were trying to set up their own governments- as in Jordan they set up their "Justus Township"...

The end of the Jordan standoff- and imprisonment of many of the leadership/active members pretty much took the wind out of their sails.. But now with the rise in right wing extremism and anti all government thinking I am seeing more and more drift towards the movement... Last month a fellow that moved into this county printed his "manifesto" in the local paper declaring that he was a "freeman" and that government laws and rules (like paying tax's or having a drivers license ) didn't pertain to him- and for law enforcement to leave him alone..

There is a town in ND that a guy is trying to buy up and turn into an all white town... I see he just got arrested...

White Supremacist Arrested in North Dakota Town Where He Wants to Establish Racist Enclave

This may be the end of Craig Cobb in Leith, N.D.

The infamous anti-Semite was arrested last weekend and charged with four felony terrorizing counts after he confronted several town residents while brandishing a firearm, the Grant County Sheriff's Department said.

Cobb, 62, was arrested on Saturday along with Kynan Dutton, 29, after the sheriff's department received several calls from concerned citizens. Eyewitnesses reported that Cobb and Dutton were toting guns during interactions with Leith City Councilman Lee Cook, Leith residents Miller and Paul Ferrie, and Leith supporter Gregory Bruce.

Both Cobb and Dutton are being held in the Mercer County Jail in Stanton, N.D., where they were awaiting a hearing this afternoon to determine bail. If convicted of all charges, Cobb and Dutton face a minimum of eight years in jail.

Cobb, who could not be reached for comment, earlier told The Bismarck Tribune that he and Dutton were patrolling the town because of acts of violence against them, including someone trying to run over two of Cobb's pit bull puppies. State's Attorney Todd Schwartz told the paper that an investigation showed that recent acts of vandalism at Cobb's house appeared to have been committed by the white supremacist's own supporters.

The arrest comes after months of turmoil since Hatewatch reported in August that Cobb was seeking to create an enclave of racists in Leith. First, members of the National Socialist Movement (NSM) came to the town to rally and fly racist flags. Then, last month, Dutton was removed from a city council meeting after he arrived drunk and disruptive. But somehow, up until now, Cobb has managed to stay above the fray.

That changed this weekend.

Leith Mayor Ryan Schock said Cobb had been out of town recently but that after returning from an appearance on The Trisha Goddard Show – where he had agreed to a DNA test that showed he was 14% sub-Saharan African – he returned combative. On Friday, Schock said, Cobb was walking up the street "raising hell" with a rifle, stopping vehicles and yelling.

"He was going up to people's vehicles and hollering at them, anyone that was walking up the street, telling them to get the hell out of town," Schock told Hatewatch today.

When asked if he had any comment about Cobb's arrest, Schock added, "About damn time we got him in the can."

There is another group that is in western Montana that I understand has been bringing in anti government/ white supremacist followers...

"Both hardcore white supremacists and anti-government patriots in the Flathead Valley can hardly contain their enthusiasm when talking about Baldwin now living in Montana," according to Travis McAdam, executive director of the Montana Human Rights Network. "It almost feels like the worshipping of a teen idol. Baldwin is being treated like a savior by people promoting a white homeland and outright war with the federal government," Baldwin told Media Matters.

It is led by Chuck Baldwin who was the Constitution Party's candidate for President in 2008... He is prophesizing a Civil War during which he will set up his all white conservative country (American Redoubt) made up of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, eastern Oregon, and eastern Washington...
