Just call the sale barn in Harrison Ark. and tell them you claim the cattle they are holding.
But then you'll have to pay the feed bill so they won;t be free

Don't no for sure AC, NPS caught them and hauled them to the sale barn. Suppose to be 38 head which i am sure is cows, calves and a bull.Who ever claims them will have a $11,000.00 fine to pay. I figure a guy could claim them have them sold pay all fines and yardage and still may a few bucks.

I bet the sale barn owner makes a pretty good profit on them as
I bet NO one claims them and he will just run them thru the sale himself after the holding period

When it comes time for someone to pay the yardage I bet he'll find they've been eating alfalfa dipped in gold based on the price they'll be charged

This is likely the most human contact these cows have ever had. As of yesterday owner had not claimed them. Been alot of elected officals calling the NPS trying to get the park service to take the cows back. They don't seen to think the guys with the hay leases should mind this fellars cows eating there hay crop.

Story in todays paper about a fella thought he had found free cattle. He placed an order for cattle under assumed name ,had them shipped to a place where he recieved them. Seller in Mississippi never got paid. The man with the plan got 99 yrs in Texas prison. Said he had been doing this for a decade. Had "stolen"2097 head since 2007.

Google Austin American Statesman,Texas Digest for details.

Well the owner claimed his cows. Told the Park Service to sell them and send him any money that was left. Off the $11.000.00 fine $5000.00 goes to the guy with the hay lease for damages.

So far all i have got out of it is acused of stealing cattle! This all took place about 3 miles down river from where we work. Park Service says they have records of fines and court cases with the owner of these cattle since 1978. Owner of cows has enough grass to run about 30 pairs and has about 80 momma cows that are wilder than hell.

He must be related to a neighbor of mine he figures he doesn't need to spray or fert because I do and his cows graze my hayfields
I won't say on here how or what happened last yr but lets say his cows will flat head for the hills when they see a truck and I think the rump roast might be a little hard on your teeth
