Four States Fair

We went to the Junior and Open show. There seemed to be more junior cattle than ever before. There were about 60 beefmaster, 40 charolais, and 20 hereford. The open show wasn't quite that large, but it was pretty good. 4 states is the best paying show we go to. We take everything that'll wear a halter.

75 for 1st, 67.50 for 2nd. Not sure about the rest that's the only places we got, but I do know that you have to get somewhere around 6th before you don't get your entry fee back ($25).

They had 50 brangus in the Jr. did you see how many made it for the open. I thought the over all quality was very good. The brangus had 4 heifers that won 1st in their class or better at the Texas Majors last spring. First time to go to the show in 15 years. Very impressed overall.

Don't remember exactly, but just guessing I'd say there were about 15 for the Open. I think Brody Shumake won Grand, but not sure.
