I knew the title would at least get you here...
Ok heres the situation. I have a F250 7.3l turbo diesel w/ direct injection. (been told by many thats a powerstroke) It's a '94, 2 WD, 5 speed, in overall fair condition. approx 170k miles. I know this truck will last longer and I've never had any major (fingers crossed ;-) ) problems out of it but the fact is it's getting old and if something does go south on it I know I'll have to pay to get it fixed. I drive a '05 Dodge diesel, company truck, so the Ford is mainly a farm truck used to haul the trailer and work in the pasture out of. So it sits more often than not.
I work with a guy that has an '87 chevy half ton, 4WD, 4 speed, motor is a 350, don't know the rear end right now but it's in real good shape and he's looking to maybe sell it. I am thinking of selling mine to buy his and have some left over, which would help out alot around the place, fertilizer, spraying etc.
Does this sound like a good idea? I pull a 24' bartop gooseneck thats pretty heavy do you think this truck would have a problem? I could use the dodge though. Lots to consder I guess, anybody got any suggestions?
