I sent in a sample of our first cutting hay to be tested. The results came today and I have no clue what they mean. Could someone help me understand if this hay is too low or too high in somethings???

so glad you found that site.i read your test results.an you have some high quality hay there.

You didn't say what type of forage it is. It is decent hay. Certainly not milk cow hay but relatively good and my guess is you aren't feeding milk cows. The ADF and NDF numbers (fiber) are a little high so your degestability will be down some but I have certainly fed worse.

The hay is grass(brome and timothy) /alfalfa mix. We've never tested hay before ,thought we would give it a try. Trying to get the hay fields back up to par. Previous owners let the fields go.
I am feeding this hay to beef cows in their last trimester and wanted to see if grain supplementation was necessary. We have some third cutting alfalfa that is really green and the cows just love it, but feed only a bale (sm. squares) a day(only have 7 cows) to help with the protien. Haven't tested that, we only have a 100 bales of it. Thanks for the comments. Another new thing to learn!!!!
