In the pre-dawn sky high in the sky to the east is a bright star/planet/light. Is that Venus?

Nah, I think they will maybe just think you are watering your garden.

What a great idea! I'll have to tell my wife that's what I'm doing. I'm sure she'll buy that.

Alien UFO taking pictures of your farm dun.

Does that mean I should quit peeing off the porch?

When I do that my wife complains that the neighbors might see. No way, their eyes aren't that good!

You know how far we are off the beaten path. They'ld need spyglasses to see anything up here. Now those aliens in the spaceship, that's another story................

Well then you would just have to hope they don't pee off of their spaceship porch while you are looking up at the stars. :P

In answer to your question, I found the following:

Venus, the dazzling morning or evening star, outshines all the other stars and planets in the night sky. It begins the year in the evening sky, low in the west shortly after sunset. It will move a little higher during spring and early summer, before dropping back and disappearing from view in early August. It will quickly scoot over to the morning sky, where it will reappear in late August. It will spend the rest of the year as the morning star.

The real question is this : If you are outside in the pre-dawn hours are you coming home or going out? That will be the determining factor of what it is you are seeing or think you are seeing!!!

Here, it would be the aviation warning light on top of the cell tower or the lights on the power plant stacks

If I'm just coming in at dawn, it's probably the glitter bars on the cop cars.

or it could be one of the stars dun sees when Mrs.dun smacks him on the head for peeing off of the porch...

So that's why you were so agitated when we knocked on your front door. We were standing on your throne!

I helped a friend move one time, hauled his stuff on the back of our cattle truck. Nice house in the middle of a big subdivision. His wife got mad when I peed off their deck, neighbors were at least 50' away. Never did like her.

Must be something from "big brother" the only planets up are Mars about 3-5 degrees south of the moon. Venus will be up later in the week about 3 degrees south of the moon.

Dun, is the light you are seeing a very bright flash or is it steady. (I'm serious)

If it's a bright flash it might be one of the iridium satalites(sp).

Bright and solid.
In the desert I used to lay out and watch the satellites go over. Here there's so much moisture in the air it's a rare occurance to see any.
