So I was wondering if you people down south are bothered by foot rot and pink eye--If so what do you do about it ,Got any tricks on how to avoid it.

I don't live down south but, at least in this area, the easiest way to avoid footrot is to keep your pastures clean, keep the weeds mowed around tanks, never allow your tanks to run over, and do everything you can to keep corrals as dry as possible. The easiest way to control pinkeye is to control flies, weeds, and quarantine new additions to the herd until you're sure they haven't brought anything in that you don't want.

carolos for pink i cant really avoid it unless your constantly spraying yoru cattle with fly spray we trteat it with peniciillin in there eye we shoot it in every day with a synringe until it clears up and for foot rot we needle them with long acting tetrocycling i beilve ( have to check with my bus) in the neck give them about 50 cc's and there fine but we watch them until its obviously clearing up
