I have been saying for some time that the house of cards this country has been building for the last 40 years has to fall down one day. And when it does things will get ugly. Go to a grocery store in the city about 5:00 and watch people on their way home from work buying dinner for that night. And they do that night after night. Look at the delivery vehicles at take out places. When the house of cards collapses those people get hungry real quick. Really hungry people will do most anything to eat. Laws, personal property, and others rights mean nothing to them. Back in the 50's and 60's the government purchased commodities to support the market. They stored that stuff in warehouses. It could be given out to people to prevent a wide spread panic. They quit doing that. I am very happy to live where I do. It is over 300 miles to the population center around Portland . By the time they drain the food from that area they will also be out of fuel. It is a long walk to get here. It is 100 miles to Boise. And there is a lot of food production in the Treasure Valley. They would definitely be out of fuel before they run out of food. This county has the resources to feed the population and we are geographically isolated enough to keep from getting a large influx of the deperate people from outside areas.
