First time heifers

Took the gamble bought some exposed first time heifers from a guy I know. Had them palpated yesterday 1 is 6monyus 3 are 3/4 month 1 open they been running with a lbw black bull so fingers crossed on some decent calves

Fingers crossed. I seen slot of calves off the bull all different ages they seem to grow well just by looking at his herd and all were black

I don't use low birthweight on my longhorn heifers. 95 or so. Minimum weaning weight 650 no problems. Heifer bull I tried once had longhorn size calves

400$ for bred pretty damn good. Sold some opens here for 1200. Granted shape wise they were excellent.

Open longhorns for $1200????? Where is this I'll go buy a pot load and ship them. I can buy open corriente and longhorns all day long here for $225-300 depending on age and shape

I gave $350-400for some 2 year old thin pairs. Couple months ago with beef sired calves. Cows are coming around now that grass is greened up

Our animals are not fed on cacti this is the skinniest.
