First frost

My Grandpa Griffith use to say to expect our first frost on the 15th of October. He’s been gone over 40 years now . All these global warming/ climate change folks are saying the hurricanes , warmer temps , droughts are man made , etc . Guess what our first frost is expected this Tuesday or Wednesday. The date ? Oct 15-16.

We haven't had a real frost yet. A couple of little teasers at 33-34 degrees with a tiny bit of frost here and there. But next Thursday the low is predicted to be 23. That will be a real frost to cover the area.

We had 17 degrees last week. Chance of snow tonight, currently 39 and raining.

We’ve had snow a couple times now. -4 Celsius coldest morning so far. Well above freezing this morning.

The lows have been hanging around the upper 30's to low 40's. We haven't had a decent rain 5 months. Just a couple of small showers but that is about normal for living in the desert.

Haven’t had measurable rain in E Texas since July. VERY dry
